Terms of Service
Last updated: November 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HeySlide, including the public website at heyslide.io and the app at app.heyslide.io. HeySlide is provided by Cogent AI (“Cogent AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using HeySlide, you agree to these Terms.
HeySlide lets a creator publish a deck that viewers, and the AI assistants they use, can ask questions. These Terms apply to both. If you use HeySlide for an organization, you agree to them on its behalf and confirm you have the authority to do so.
Use of the Service
You may use HeySlide only in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws. You are responsible for your account, your use of the service, and any content you upload, submit, generate, share, or present through HeySlide.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure, including the email account your sign-in links and codes go to. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, you should notify us promptly.
Your Content
You retain ownership of presentation files, documents, questions, replies, and other content you submit to HeySlide. You grant Cogent AI the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, and generate answers and other outputs from your content, to provide HeySlide to you and the people you share it with, and to secure and improve it, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train AI models.
You represent that you have all rights, permissions, and authority necessary to submit content to HeySlide and to allow us to process it as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Creators
- You are responsible for your decks, the sources you add, the rules you set, and the answers you approve, edit or write. They should be accurate, and you should have the right to share them with the people you send your link to.
- Anyone with your deck’s link can open it and ask it questions, until you turn the link off. Their questions count toward your plan’s limits.
- HeySlide doesn’t replace any disclosure, document or advice the law requires you to give, such as a franchise disclosure document or a securities offering document. Don’t use HeySlide to mislead anyone.
Viewers
Questions you ask a deck, and any message you send its creator, are shared with that creator and the people they choose to handle questions. The deck’s content belongs to its creator, and answers come from what the creator provided. We don’t check that content for accuracy.
AI Outputs
HeySlide generates answers and other outputs using AI systems, from the creator’s deck and sources only. AI outputs may still be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular purpose, and they are not legal, financial or other professional advice. Creators are responsible for reviewing the answers their decks give, and viewers should confirm anything important with the creator before relying on it.
Acceptable Use
You may not misuse HeySlide, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, violate others’ rights, submit unlawful or harmful content, use throwaway email addresses or automated means to get around limits, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, or use HeySlide in a way that could damage, disable, overload, or impair the service.
Plans and Limits
HeySlide has a Free plan and paid plans. Each plan has limits, such as how many decks you can publish and how many questions your decks answer each month; the current plans, prices and limits are on our pricing page. When a limit is reached, viewers can send their questions to you instead, until the limit resets or you upgrade. Decks on the Free plan show a “Made with HeySlide” link. Viewers never pay.
Subscriptions and Payments
- Billing: paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars, through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices don’t include taxes, which are added where they apply. You are responsible for all charges associated with your account.
- Renewal: plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Free trial: the Pro plan’s 14-day free trial is offered once per account and asks for a card. Unless you cancel before it ends, the first payment is taken when the trial ends.
- Changing plans: you can move between plans, or between monthly and yearly billing, at any time. The change takes effect immediately, and the difference for the rest of the current period is charged or credited at once.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time from Plan and billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then moves to Free.
- Refunds: payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods, except where the law requires a refund. If you think you were charged in error, contact us.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails and isn’t resolved, your plan may move to Free.
- Price changes: we’ll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects your plan. It applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
Assistants and Third-Party Services
HeySlide can be used inside AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude, and relies on other third-party services. Your use of those assistants and services is also governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on HeySlide infringes your copyright, email us at [email protected] with the work, where it appears on HeySlide, and your contact details. We may remove the content, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Service Changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of HeySlide at any time. We may also update features, limits, pricing, or availability. We’ll give notice of changes that significantly reduce what a paid plan includes.
Termination
You may stop using HeySlide at any time, and ask us to delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay amounts owed, or if required by law.
Disclaimers
HeySlide is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cogent AI disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cogent AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to HeySlide or these Terms.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Cogent AI harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of HeySlide, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above, email account holders before the changes take effect, and provide any other notice the law requires. Continued use of HeySlide after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
